Newborn Care

Overview

The Department of Nurseries, Newborn and Premature Care is a department dedicated to the care of newborns, including premature babies. This department provides medical care and support for newborns who are born prematurely or who suffer from health problems at birth.

Nurseries, neonatal and preterm care are usually arranged into separate units depending on the condition of the baby. For example, there may be a unit for premature babies who are born before 32 weeks of pregnancy, and a unit for babies who are born later but still have health problems.

The care provided by the Department of Nurseries, Newborns and Premature Care includes the following:
  • Monitor the child’s vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and temperature.
  • Providing respiratory assistance to the child, such as using a respirator.
  • Injection or tube feeding.
  • Medicinal treatment.
  • Skin care and body care.
The Department of Nurseries, Newborn and Premature Care plays an important role in saving the lives of newborns and caring for them. Thanks to the care provided by this department, many premature babies can grow and develop normally.
